The Bentley Concours was hosted at the sensational Blenheim Palace this year and boy was the turn out huge. The BDC managed to break the old record of 1,001 Bentleys gathered at one event by 320 cars! That's pretty good going. Here are some photos of the day, we can't wait for 2020.

Rebuilt to the owner's specification, this exciting 3 Litre was rebuilt by VBE as a fast run about for use in the South of France. Once the property of Red Daniels it was famously photographed on Westminster Bridge in the shadow of Big Ben. 50 years on... VBE have worked their magic to create this dramatic looking 3 Litre.

Starting from an existing but unattractivelly bodied 4-8 litre VBE Re-engineered and Re-bodied this vehicle in the style of a Le Mans car. The bespoke Vanden Plas type body was designed to achieve the beautifully balanced proportions of the Speed Six allied to the comfort and space required for long distance continental touring.

1921 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. The ungainly proportions and staid appearance of this Barker replica on Chassis 19CE have been transformed by the VBE design team to create a more sporting flavour with hints of London to Edinburgh about it. The finished vehicle took part in the Spirit of Ecstasy centenary celebrations in 2011.

Chassis MF3153 "remains one of the best known and most highly regarded 4½ Litre Bentleys" according to Gooding and Company's recent catalogue. A total mechanical rebuild was carried out by VBE in 2005 and "handily won Best of Show at the annual Bentley Drivers Club Concours".

This very original 1929 Bentley 4½ Litre Tourer has undergone an extensive preservation/restoration by VBE Restorations. The original VDP bodied car had lost it's original mudguards years ago and we were commissioned by the owner to produce a set of Gurney Nutting style wings to his own design. The finished car came second in the 2013 Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance in San Rafael.

Take a 1924 3 Litre Gurney Nutting open body tourer, a new body frame, crafted in the traditional manner from laminated and glued ash, in the style of a 4½ Litre Le Mans Bentley and finished in blue trim to the order of the French customer and then successfully compete in the 2008 Le Mans Classic as the highest placed touring Bentley!
