As you may know VBE were lucky enough to be featured in 3 Rolls Royce and Bentley Driver issues last year. Matt Woods was the photographer charged by the magazine to get the best shots on the day and boy do we think he delivered!
VBE's owner has been lucky enough to attend Pebble Beach this year, assisting with their annual rally. As it's Bentley's Centenary, there has been a huge turnout!

This lovely 1928 4.5L Bentley recently came to us for a ' Team Car' conversion. It's an exciting project, one which allows VBE to use all of our our in-house skills such as fabrication, body work, machining and trimming. As per the norm, we will upload photos as the project continues.

To celebrate 100 years of everything Bentley, the BDC organised a wonderful run from the top of Scotland down to London. One of our favourite customers has joined the group in his 4.5L Bentley and sent us some photos of the journey. We'll keep uploading as we receive them!

We have several customers participating in the Colorado Grand this year. The event is well-known in the vintage and classic cars world. Half the proceeds for entry are also donated to local charities... so it's all for a good cause!

We've been getting lots of requests for more photos of VBE's Petronella so we thought we'd add some of the restoration as well as from a recent photo-shoot by James Callaghan.
Rebuilt to the owner's specification, this exciting 3 Litre was rebuilt by VBE as a fast run about for use in the South of France. Once the property of Red Daniels it was famously photographed on Westminster Bridge in the shadow of Big Ben. 50 years on... VBE have worked their magic to create this dramatic looking 3 Litre.
One of our favourite vintage Bentley's (The Gypsy), has just completed her annual Holylands Tour. The photographer, Ronen Topelberg very kindly allowed us to use some of the photos taken of her.

This years concours was held at the stunning Sudeley Castle. We were there serving up some Strawberries & Cream (with some Pimms thrown in for fun)

This year we were at the Silverstone Classic again supporting all things Vintage with the Bentley Drivers Club.

The Bentley Drivers Club Sprint at MIRA - fantastic day for all those involved and the VBE car was the 2nd fastest Pre War Bentley to top it off.
Enduring the worst conditions imaginable, this VBE Customer Delage D6 motored through Outer Mongolia, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland and France to complete, trouble free, the 14,360Km endurance event. A tribute not only to the car but also to the team of skilled engineers at VBE who prepared it.
A fully detailed copy of the No. 2 Speed Six Team Car GF 8507 includes such details as authentic fascia panel, footwell, lap counter and bucket seats. The car has been finished in Parsons Napier Green!
Starting from an existing but unattractivelly bodied 4-8 litre VBE Re-engineered and Re-bodied this vehicle in the style of a Le Mans car. The bespoke Vanden Plas type body was designed to achieve the beautifully balanced proportions of the Speed Six allied to the comfort and space required for long distance continental touring.
1921 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. The ungainly proportions and staid appearance of this Barker replica on Chassis 19CE have been transformed by the VBE design team to create a more sporting flavour with hints of London to Edinburgh about it. The finished vehicle took part in the Spirit of Ecstasy centenary celebrations in 2011.
The Citizen (Dar es Salaam) reported on the 17th August 2011 "An exhilarating driving experience started yesterday when 33 cars and crews left Dar es Salaam for Cape Town. The Classic Safari Challenge will cover 5869Km across four East and South African countries." This 1924 car is regularly maintained by VBE Restorations.
Original 1928 Bentley 4˝ Litre Vanden Plas saloon has been serviced and maintained by VBE Restorations for many years. At VBE we aim to assist owners by offering the techniques that preserve and maintain patina whilst ensuring safety and durability in a usable vehicle.
Chassis MF3153 "remains one of the best known and most highly regarded 4˝ Litre Bentleys" according to Gooding and Company's recent catalogue. A total mechanical rebuild was carried out by VBE in 2005 and "handily won Best of Show at the annual Bentley Drivers Club Concours".
This very original 1929 Bentley 4˝ Litre Tourer has undergone an extensive preservation/restoration by VBE Restorations. The original VDP bodied car had lost it's original mudguards years ago and we were commissioned by the owner to produce a set of Gurney Nutting style wings to his own design. The finished car came second in the 2013 Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance in San Rafael.
Take a 1924 3 Litre Gurney Nutting open body tourer, a new body frame, crafted in the traditional manner from laminated and glued ash, in the style of a 4˝ Litre Le Mans Bentley and finished in blue trim to the order of the French customer and then successfully compete in the 2008 Le Mans Classic as the highest placed touring Bentley!
This 1921 "Top Hat" style Sunbeam Limousine has undergone a complete interior restoration down to the exquisitely stitched headlining and finely cut wilton carpet.
1928 Beverley Barnes Straight Eight. Extensively restored by VBE with a complete interior re-trim the coachwork has been returned to its original form with the addition of separate front and rear compartments and windscreens and a new hood.
Original Bentley 4˝ Litre Works Team car known as "The Bobtail" finished 3rd in the 1929 Le Mans 24 Hours and finished 2nd in the 1929 Brooklands Double Twelve. This famous racing Bentley has undergone a ground up preservation/restoration by VBE Restorations.
